
I see counselling and psychotherapy as an empowering process which will be different for each individual.
I have 25 years experience of working therapeutically with adults, children and families- themes include attachment difficulties,recovery from childhood trauma and abuse, anxiety and depression,loss and grief etc
I normally suggest an initial meeting to explore what has brought you to consider counselling / therapy and how I may help.
Ongoing counselling usually takes place once a week, each session lasts 50 minutes.
I usually suggest a review after 6 to 8 sessions to see how the work is going.
Some people find this is enough to deal with their particular problem, others choose to continue longer term work.
